Our Vision

Our vision at Align Ministries is to see people throughout the world come to know Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. To empower and resource the local church and to see at-risk people regardless of a persons religion, race, ethnicity, gender or political belief have an opportunity for basic health, nutrition, clean water and education and to thrive in their community. For families to be healthy and stay together and grow, for children to flourish in their community and given an opportunity to excel as God would have them.

World Vision founder Dr. Bob Pierce wrote on the flyleaf of his Bible, “Let my heart be broken by the things that break the heart of God.” Our heart has been broken and our desire is to be sensitive to what breaks God’s heart and then have the wisdom and discernment to do His will in following the leading of our Lord Jesus Christ. Our Vision is to see people and families who are affected by HIV/AIDS, malaria and any other illness, disease or injury stay together and become healthy physically, mentally and most importantly spiritually. We desire to keep families together and the children raised by their parents instead of being placed in orphanages while their parents die alone and without dignity. There are as many orphaned children in Africa as there are people in the State of California, this is staggering. Align Ministries as so many other non-profit organizations wants to address this huge problem. Many organizations are building orphanages for these child ren, which of course is much needed. But what can we do to prevent so many children from being orphaned and placed in orphanages. At Align Ministries we are in the business of PREVENTION and keeping families together. Let’s prevent these children from going into orphanages and being separated from the people they love. To do this we need to meet the basic needs of each family member. Not just the children, who seem to get all the attention and draw for sponsorship, but the parents or caregivers as well. This way the caregivers or parents will stay healthy long enough to be able to raise these children to an age of independence. In so many cases, the death of the parents or caregivers could have be avoided or at least postponed until the children were old enough and have been given the right “tools” to take care of themselves. We have to ask ourselves, how many orphanages can we build and manage? We need to change our thinking and approach to this monumental problem and concern. Instead let’s do everything we can to address the needs of these families and prevent them from being torn apart. Let’s keep them together; we can do it with your help! We need to provide “tools” for the parents or care givers to keep them healthy so they can support and care for their children. Our goal will not be to place them in a position of dependence on outside resources, like our welfare system; but to give them a boost so they can become productive members of the community. We have seen what “welfare” does to a society; it removes motivation to succeed and personal dignity. Our goal is to empower and give families a helping hand to move forward. It will allow parents to be parents and take care of their children.
